The Care Quality Commission (CQC) have introduced a new framework designed to assess how well individual care homes have managed the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and their ability to deliver safe care. So far, over a third of Anchor care homes have been assessed under the CQC’s new Emergency Support Framework (ESF) and all have passed.
The framework covers a wide range of areas, including infection prevention and control, availability and correct usage of personal protective equipment, staffing levels and steps taken to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our residents and colleagues.
The assessment takes place over video calls between care home managers and CQC inspectors and involves a detailed questionnaire with video show arounds of the care home. Care homes are rated as either ‘Need Support’ or ‘Managing’. Every Anchor care home that has been assessed has received a ‘Managing’ rating.
The most up to date list of Anchor care homes that have been assessed is below. This will be regularly updated as more assessments take place. If you would like more information about any of our care homes, including those that have not yet been assessed, please contact the home directly using our property finder.
